It is the mission of Immanuel
United Church of Christ of Evergreen Park to be a living example of the Good News of Jesus Christ by providing a place where all God's children are welcomed with love into a supportive fellowship which recognizes  the worth of each person and the gifts God's Spirit has given each one of us.

We have an active congregation, centered in an exciting worship program on Sunday morning.  Our Church School for children is held during worship, with the children going to class after the Time for the Children.  It is led by an active, committed group of teachers.  We have a long history of strong music programs, centered in a very talented choir.  They sing a variety of music from medieval and classical to jazz and spirituals.  They use various accompaniments and also sing a cappella.  Our church has many ministries of outreach to the community.  The Immanuel Community Preschool is well known in the area.  Our Hot Shots basketball program provides a training league for children in 1st-3rd grades.  We provide meals for the PADS program, which is a local program to provide shelter for the homeless.  We host several 12-step recovery meetings each week.  We offer many programs of fellowship for our senior members as well as regular programs for younger members of the congregation.
